Chat N’ Chew is a PTA-sponsored reading program for 3rd – 6th graders. Students read a selected book once a month between January and April and discuss the book with a parent volunteer during their lunchtime. Participants receive a coupon for a free Pizza Hut personal size pizza for each book read and discussed. Participants who have fulfilled all requirements will be invited to a pizza party in May.
The Chat n’ Chew book list can be seen here which includes links to the questions used when discussing the books.
Sign ups are currently open. Complete the form on the back of the flyer (one also came home with your student) and send it back to school by Thursday, November 8th. Please fill out the form even if you aren’t ordering books so that your student is on the list to participate.
If you are interested in purchasing books, you may do so through the Chat n’ Chew program. We will be purchasing books through Barnes & Noble at a discounted rate. Prices are also on the flyer.
If you do not wish to purchase books, our library and the public library have limited copies available of all titles.
**Any adult interested in being a group leader for Chat n’ Chew must have completed MVP training through the school district. More info on that here. **
